Finally, this week, now that they are older teenagers, I felt that we could vacation there as myself, a single mom and two teens for spring break, as they are now old enough to go to shows and walk around a bit on their own. I've vacationed in Vegas for more years than I'd care to count, but stayed away while my kids were small. :) (My trips are typically seven nights, so this isn't feasible.) More Show less I would definitely stay here again.if I could afford it. The Rush Tower room wasn't as large as the Gold Club room (no sectional), but you could definitely tell that it was newer. I ended up extending my stay a night and booked a Rush Tower room. Very large, sectional sofa, amazingly soft bed, dual sinks in the bathroom (and a TV), and free snacks and drinks in the elevator lobby. However, the room the put me in was great. What did they do? They upgraded me to a Gold Tower Gold Club room. I arrived on Thursday evening around 7:00 to find that the room that I had originally booked in the Gold Tower (standard king) was no longer available. I was originally in LA for work but ended up having to stay the weekend, so I made my way to Vegas. However, I've not stayed in the Gold or Rush Towers when I've stayed previously.
In fact, it's not my first time staying at the Golden Nugget.
